Fantastic cottage in Boothbay Harbor, Maine

By Tallulah | June 2, 2008

I love this house. I grew up spending my summers at Ocean Point, Maine, just 5 miles out on a point from Boothbay Harbor. I loved it and I still love to visit every time I get to Maine.

John Calvin Stevens inspired shingle style,7000 s.f. home set on almost 10 private acres with extraordinary views to Monhegan and a deep water dock. Screened porch, deck, loggia and patio provide intimate outdoor areas for occupants and guests.

In the heart of old Washington, D.C.

By Tallulah | March 3, 2008

1714 Massachusetts Avenue sits in a prime area off of Dupont Circle close to Embassy Row. This architecturally significant block, originally built in 1890, features many grand turn of the century residences which are now occupied as embassies, cultural institutions, foundations, associations and private residences such as 1714. This prime location is convenient to downtown Washington, Georgetown, the White House, Kennedy Center, Smithsonian museums and offers easy access to Reagan National and Dulles International airports.

The first floor features grand public rooms perfect for large scale entertaining including double formal parlors, embassy sized dining room and wood paneling that can accommodate gatherings of all sizes. The second through fourth floors feature the family living quarters which include the family kitchen, family living room and 5 plus bedrooms and 5 full and 1 half baths. This is much more my style than the ski lodge below.

Majestic Telluride, CO home for sale

By Tallulah | February 28, 2008

Epic in it’s majesty, Aspen Hall is the quint essential mountain retreat. On thirty-five acres, amongst towering trees, the glorious sun, and the shadows of the rugged San Sophias, Aspen Hall is a unique residential treasure. Every imaginable amenity, privacy and luxury reign supreme in Aspen Hall. Only fifteen minutes from downtown Telluride in Sunnyside Ranch, but so private you will wonder if you are the only person in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. I have to admit, the view is wonderful but I find the rustic interior a bit bland for my feminine touch. It doesn’t seem cozy enough for me. You be the judge.

Ultimate New York City Luxury

By Tallulah | January 6, 2008

Isn’t this house spectacular? It should be for $75,000,000.00! Notice how the photos only show the public rooms? No kitchen photos because if you’ve got $75,000,000.00 to spend on a house in the city, you don’t care what the kitchen looks like ’cause you’re not gonna cook in it! It was built in 1922, a time when many rich families built ornate mansions in the city. With it’s wide sweeping marble staircase, hand carved moldings and sky high ceilings, it offers the discerning buyer classic luxury of a by-gone era.

Looking in Nogales, Arizona?

By Tallulah | December 12, 2007

If you’ve got a lot of kids or you have a lot of visitors OR you just like hopping from bed to bed for a good time, then this 11 bedroom house might be just for you! In the luxury mansion category, this one is a steal at only $12,750,000. It was originally built in 1910 but it’s got a media room and a games room so I suspect that there have been major renovations since the early days.
